“Getting to Zero – Zero
New Infections – Zero Deaths – Zero Discriminations”
UP State AIDS Control Society has
observed 1st of December, 2011 as World AIDS Day. An Awareness Generation Campaign on the Theme
of – “Getting to Zero” was organized by UP State AIDS Control
Society. This awareness generation campaign includes Media Sensitization on
HIV/AIDS, Mass Media Campaign through IEC Mobile Vans, Hoardings, Banners, Road
Shows and Street Plays, Candle Light March, Symposium and Signature Campaign.
Through these different events we have tried to connect with people for HIV
awareness. This includes youths also. UPSACS has organized awareness generation
activities at district level also with the support of District AIDS
Coordination Committee. The
success of this awareness campaign is possible because of the invaluable
support of our partners- UNICEF, HLFPPT, TSU, UPNP, NSS and TI NGOs.
